Ingredients
Devil's Food Cake Batter
Devil's Food Cake Mix Of Your Choice
1/2 Cup Darious Date Swirls, crumbled
Pink Frosting
3 Cups Confectioners Sugar
3/4 Cup Room Temperature Butter, Unsalted
1 1/2 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
3 Teaspoons Milk
1/8 Teaspoon Salt
Pink Food Coloring
Instructions
Cupcake Batter
In a food processor, pulse the Darious Date Swirls till semi-fine crumbles. Separate into 2 - 1/4 cup servings and put both aside.
Prepare your favorite Devils Food Cake mix as per the instructions. Before baking, add 1/4 cup of the crumbled Darious Date Swirls to the mixture and fold in gently.
Bake and cool as per instructions on box.
Pink Frosting
While the cupcakes are baking, beat the butter - either by hand or with a mixer, until light and fluffy.
Using a sieve, combine half of the confectioners sugar to the beaten butter until combined, then repeat with the remaining confectioners sugar.
Add the milk, vanilla extract and salt to the sugar mixture and mix until lightly smooth.
Stir in the pink food coloring, one drop at a time, until you reach your desired color.
Once the cupcakes are fully cooled, pipe or spread the frosting on the cupcakes.
Sprinkle the remaining 1/4 cup of Darious Date Swirls to the top of your cupcakes.
