Date Swirl Trifle


Recommended Swirls Flavors - Banana Date, Blueberry Date


2 Packages Darious Date Swirls, chopped

Sponge Cake, cut into small cubes

1 Can Blackberries or Mixed Berries in Syrup, drained saving the liquid

2 Cups Vanilla or Tapioca Pudding

2 Cups Chocolate Pudding

Whipped Cream

Fresh Berries for Topping (optional) 


Put aside four glasses for serving.

Pulse the Date Swirls in a food processor until roughly chopped. Keep 1/2 cup of the chopped swirls separate for topping. Then divide the rest of the swirls in half.

Drain the berries and keep the syrup in a separate bowl.

Cut the sponge cake in small cubes and place two layers firmly at the bottom of each glass.

Cover the sponge cake with a layer of the berries and press down to compress.

                     Spoon some of the syrup over the berries, letting it drip down to moisten the cake. 

Place 1/2 of the swirls crumbles over the berries.

Add a thick layer of the vanilla or tapioca pudding.

Layer the remaining swirls crumbles over the pudding.


Add a thick layer of the chocolate pudding.

Refrigerate for at least two hours to let the flavors marry.

Right before you are ready to serve, top with whipped cream, fresh berries and the 1/2 cup of Darious Date Swirls crumbles.
